Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
If you create an account, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, a password (stored only as a salted hash — never in plain text) and the preferences you set, such as a favorite team or a role (fan, player, coach). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from them instead of a password. If you send feedback, we keep what you write and any image you attach.
For every visitor, we log standard technical information — IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested — briefly, for security, debugging and abuse prevention. We don’t collect special categories of personal data, and we don’t try to identify you beyond your account.
2. How we use it
We use your information only to run and improve the service: to sign you in and keep you signed in, remember your preferences, personalize pages like your favorite team’s schedule, send the notifications you’ve opted into, respond to your feedback, and keep the service secure and working.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing, and we do not use it for advertising or ad targeting.
4. Third-party services
A few providers process data on our behalf — only to run the service, and only under agreements that limit them to that purpose: our hosting and database providers (which store the data) and our email provider (which delivers account and notification emails). If you choose to sign in with Google, they share your name and email with us under their own privacy policies.
We don’t send your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
5. Retention & deletion
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. Delete your account — from your profile, or by emailing us — and we remove your personal data, except anything we’re required to keep by law. Technical logs expire automatically on a short rolling window, and backups are overwritten on a regular cycle.
6. Your rights
You can access and update your details any time from your profile page. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at polometrics@gmail.com or use the feedback button — we’ll respond within a reasonable time, and we won’t charge you or treat you differently for asking.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. If we make a material change, we’ll call it out on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
